8 LONG TITLE
9 General Description:
10 This bill modifies the Utah State Retirement and Insurance Benefit Act by amending
11 provisions related to public information.
12 Highlighted Provisions:
13 This bill:
14 ▸ requires the Utah State Retirement Systems (URS) to provide employee
15 compensation information on its website;
16 ▸ requires URS to provide advance public notice of administrative board meetings on
17 the Utah Public Notice Website;
18 ▸ requires URS to establish policies for time limits to respond to information
19 requests; and
20 ▸ makes technical changes.

32 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:

34 Section 1. Section 49-11-1101 is amended to read:
35 49-11-1101. Public financial information disclosure on website -- Exclusions.
36 (1) The office shall provide the following financial information for the public on its
37 website:
38 (a) administrative expense transactions from its general ledger accounting system; and
39 (b) [
40 employee at least annually.
41 (2) For purposes of this part, the office is not required to provide other information for
42 public access on its website, if the disclosure of the information would conflict with the
43 fiduciary obligations of the board, including:
44 (a) revenue transactions; and
45 (b) member and participant information.
46 Section 2. Section 49-11-1102 is enacted to read:
47 49-11-1102. Public notice of administrative board meetings -- Posting on Utah
48 Public Notice Website.
49 (1) The office shall provide advance public notice of meetings and agendas on the Utah
50 Public Notice Website established in Section 63F-1-701 for administrative board meetings.
51 (2) The office may post other public materials, as directed by the board, on the Utah
52 Public Notice Website.
53 Section 3. Section 49-11-1103 is enacted to read:
54 49-11-1103. Public information requests.
55 The office shall establish, in policy, time limits to respond to public information
56 requests.
