8     LONG TITLE
9     General Description:
10           This bill adds an authorized use for revenue generated from the multicounty assessing
11     and collecting levy .
12     Highlighted Provisions:
13          This bill:
14          ▸      provides for an additional authorized use of the revenue generated from the
15     multicounty assessing and collecting levy that is allocated to the Multicounty
16     Appraisal Trust.

25     Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
26          Section 1. Section 59-2-1606 is amended to read:
27          59-2-1606. CAMA system funding for counties -- Disbursements to the
28     Multicounty Appraisal Trust -- Use of funds.
29          (1) As used in this section, "CAMA" means computer assisted mass appraisal.

30          (2) (a) The funds deposited into the Multicounty Appraisal Trust in accordance with
31     Section 59-2-1602 shall be used to provide funding for a statewide CAMA system that will
32     promote:
33          (i) the accurate valuation of property;
34          (ii) the establishment and maintenance of uniform assessment levels among counties
35     within the state; [and]
36          (iii) efficient administration of the property tax system, including the costs of
37     assessment, collection, and distribution of property taxes[.]; and
38          (iv) the uniform filing of a signed statement a county assessor requests under Section
39     59-2-306, including implementation of a statewide electronic filing system.
40          (b) The trustee of the Multicounty Appraisal Trust shall:
41          (i) determine which projects [shall be funded] to fund; and
42          (ii) oversee the administration of a statewide CAMA system.
