Vice Chair Knotwell called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.
MOTION: Rep. Peterson moved to approve the minutes of the February 3, 2016 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Dunnigan, Rep. Froerer, Rep. King, Rep. Owens, Rep. Roberts, Rep. Schultz, and Rep. Stanard absent for the vote.
H.B. 112 Continuing Education for Contractor Licensing Amendments (Rep. S. Sandall)
Rep. Sandall explained the bill to the committee
Spoke for the bill: Orion Goff Director of Building Services, Salt Lake City
John Saunders Bonneville Chapter International Code Council
Spoke against the bill: Taz Biesinger Utah Homebuilders Association
Rep. Schultz declared a conflict of interest.
MOTION: Rep. Duckworth moved to amend the bill as follows:
1. Page 2, Line 49:
49 (xv) a { nationally recognized } Utah chapter of the International Code Council.
SUBSTITUTE MOTION: Rep. Webb moved to go to the next item on the agenda. The motion was withdrawn.
SUBSTITUTE MOTION: Rep. Schultz moved to adjourn. The motion passed with Rep. Duckworth voting in opposition and Rep. Froerer absent for the vote.
H.B. 224 Impact Fees Revisions (Rep. P. Ray) This bill was not heard.
Vice Chair Knotwell adjourned the meeting at 4:45 pm.
