Chair Peterson called the meeting to order at 10:11 a.m.

MOTION:     Rep. Stanard moved to approve the minutes of the March 7, 2016 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Froerer, Rep. Schultz, Rep. Webb, and Rep. Knotwell absent for the vote.

H.B. 411         Utah Medicaid Reform Amendments (Rep. R. Spendlove)

MOTION:     Rep. Stanard moved to return H.B. 411 to the Rules Committee for interim study. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Froerer, Rep. Schultz, Rep. Webb, and Rep. Knotwell absent for the vote.

S.B. 238          Safety Net Initiative Amendments (Sen. C. Bramble)

Senator Bramble explained the bill

MOTION:     Rep. Roberts moved to replace S.B. 238 with 1st Substitute S.B. 238 The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:     Rep. Pitcher moved to pass 1st Sub. S.B. 238 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:     Rep. Knotwell moved to place 1st Sub. S.B. 238 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously.

2nd Sub. S.B. 161      Highway Signage Amendments (Sen. J. S. Adams) (Rep. M. Schultz)

Rep. Schultz explained the bill assisted by Chris Bramhall, Kirton McConkie.

MOTION:     Rep. Owens moved to pass 2nd Sub. S.B. 161 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

H.B. 409         Short-term Rental Amendments (Rep. J. Knotwell)

MOTION:     Rep. Knotwell moved to lift H.B. 409 from the table. The motion passed unanimously.

Rep. Knotwell explained the bill assisted by Cameron Diehl, Utah League of Cities and Towns.

MOTION:     Rep. Stanard moved to return H.B. 409 to the Rules Committee for interim study. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Schultz absent for the vote.

MOTION:     Rep. Knotwell moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Schultz absent for the vote.
