MOTION: Rep. Gibson moved to approve the minutes of the February 11, 2016 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Fawson, Rep. Lifferth, Rep. McCay, Rep. Noel, and Rep. Snow absent for the vote.
S.C.R. 3 Concurrent Resolution Supporting American Indian and Alaskan Native Education State Plan (Sen. K. Van Tassell) (Rep. J. Draxler)

MOTION: Rep. Poulson moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Eliason, Rep. Lifferth, Rep. McCay, Rep. Noel, and Rep. Snow absent for the vote.

SUBSTITUTE MOTION: Rep. Gibson moved to amend the bill as follows:
1. Page 3, Lines 82 through 87:
82 (f) providing that scores on the tests and assessments required under Subsection (2)(a)
83and Subsection (3) may [not] be considered in determining { :
84 (i) } a student's academic grade for the appropriate course { ; or
85 (ii) whether a student may advance to the next grade level. } .
86 (5) (a) A school district or charter school, as applicable, is encouraged to administer an
87online writing assessment to students in grade 11.
The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Eliason and Rep. Moss absent for the vote.
MOTION: Rep. Cutler moved to pass 1st Sub. H.B. 164 out favorably. The motion failed with Rep. Cutler, Rep. Eliason, Rep. Hutchings, Rep. Last, Rep. Poulson, and Rep. Snow voting in favor of the motion. Rep. Moss was absent for the vote.

MOTION: Rep. McCay moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Christensen, Rep. Eliason, and Rep. Noel absent for the vote. Chair Last adjourned the meeting at 5:00 p.m.
