Chair Edwards called the meeting to order at 2:03 p.m.

Chair Edwards invited committee members to introduce themselves and introduced new staff, Mr. Ryan Hunter, Policy Analyst and Ms. Lisa Jones, Committee Secretary.

H.B. 31           Enterprise Zone Amendments (Rep. S. Sandall)

Rep. Sandall, assisted by Linda Gillmor, Governor's Office of Economic Development, introduced and explained the bill.

MOTION:     Vice Chair Westwood moved to amend the bill to add "and the Economic Development and Workforce Services Interim Committee" after every instance of "Revenue and Taxation Interim Committee."

Peter Asplund, Associate General Counsel, Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel, explained the reporting requirements included in the bill.

Vice Chair Westwood withdrew the motion.

MOTION:     Rep. DiCaro moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Spendlove and Rep. Wilson absent for the vote.

H.B. 139         Transparency Advisory Board Modifications (Rep. D. Owens)

Rep. Owens introduced and explained the bill.

MOTION:     Rep. Sandall moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Wilson absent for the vote.

H.C.R. 2         Concurrent Resolution Recognizing the 40th Anniversary of the Utah Indoor Clean Air Act (Rep. P. Ray)

Rep. Ray introduced and explained the resolution. Marc Watterson, American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, presented historical context for the resolution.

MOTION:     Rep. Spendlove moved to pass the resolution out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Wilson and Rep. Last absent for the vote.

MOTION:     Rep. Romero moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Last and Rep. Wilson absent for the vote.

Chair Edwards adjourned the meeting at 2:45 p.m.
