Vice Chair Daw called the meeting to order at 4:32 p.m.
MOTION: Rep. Perry moved to approve the minutes of the March 3, 2016 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Nelson and Rep. Sanpei absent for the vote.
H.B. 438 Amendments to Election Law (Rep. J. Draxler)
Rep. Draxler explained the bill assisted by Mark Thomas, Director of Elections, Office of the Lieutenant Governor.
MOTION: Rep. Arent moved to pass H.B. 438 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Nelson absent for the vote.
MOTION: Rep. Perry moved to place H.B. 438 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Nelson absent for the vote.
H.B. 462 Notaries Public Amendments (Rep. E. Hutchings)
Rep. Hutchings explained the bill assisted by Jennifer Storie, Office of the Lieutenant Governor.
MOTION: Rep. Draxler moved to replace H.B. 462 with 1st Substitute H.B. 462. The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Rep. Arent moved to pass 1st Sub. H.B. 462 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

1st Sub. S.B. 197 Resale of Procurement Item Amendments (Sen. K. Mayne)
Sen. Mayne distributed two handouts, "Senate Bill 197 - Resale of Procurement Item Amendments" and a letter from Joel Cook. Sen. Mayne explained the bill to the committee assisted by Trevor Shuman, Wheeler Machinery.
MOTION: Rep. Perry moved to pass 1st Sub. S.B. 197 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.
