Vice Chair Spendlove called the meeting to order at 2:12 p.m.

S.B. 32              Reauthorization of Hospital Provider Assessment Act (Sen. B. Shiozawa)

Sen. Shiozawa explained the bill to the committee.

Spoke in favor of the bill:           Dave Gessell, Executive Vice President, Utah Hospital Association

MOTION:       Rep. Ray moved to pass S.B. 32 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Hollins absent for the vote.

H.B. 186           Volunteer Health Care Continuing Education Credit (Rep. D. Lifferth)

Rep. Lifferth explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:       Rep. Thurston moved to pass H.B. 186 out favorably. The motion passed with Rep. Ward voting in opposition.

MOTION:       Rep. Thurston moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.

Vice Chair Spendlove adjourned the meeting at 2:32 p.m.
