Vice Chair Spendlove called the meeting to order at 4:10 p.m.

H.B. 375         Prescription Drug Abuse Amendments (Rep. L. Christensen)

Rep. Christensen explained H.B. 375 to the committee, and provided four handouts.

                                    Mark Brinton, Utah Medical Association

                                    Wayne Jones, Utah Pharmacy Association

Spoke for the bill:       Mark Lewis

                                    MaryJo McMillen, Utah Support Advocates for Recovery Awareness

MOTION:      Rep. Redd moved to replace H.B. 375 with 1st Substitute H.B. 375, Prescription Drug Abuse Amendments. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:     Rep. Redd moved to pass 1st Substitute H.B. 375 out favorably.

SUBSTITUTE

MOTION:     Rep. Barlow moved to hold the bill in committee. The motion passed with Rep. Hall, Rep. Kennedy, Rep. Ray, and Rep. Redd voting in opposition.

MOTION:     Rep. Brown moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.

Vice Chair Spendlove adjourned the meeting at 6:10 p.m.
