Chair Ipson called the meeting to order at 2:02 p.m.

 

H.B. 105         Human Trafficking Revisions (Rep. A. Romero)


Rep. Romero explained the bill to the committee.

 

Spoke for the bill:       Laura Bunker, United Families International

 

MOTION:     Rep. Daw moved to pass H.B. 105 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Eliason absent for the vote.

 

H.B. 165         Garnishment Amendments (Rep. B. Dee)


Rep. Dee explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:     Rep. Eliason moved to pass H.B. 165 out favorably. The motion passed with Rep. Tanner voting in opposition.

 

H.B. 62           Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice - Statutory Reports Repeal (Rep. D. Ipson)


The chair was relinquished to Vice Chair Roberts.


Rep. Ipson explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:     Rep. Ipson moved to amend the bill as follows:


 

1.    Page 7, Lines 190 through 194:      

 

190during the prior fiscal year ending June 30.

{  191       (6) The council shall monitor the progress and evaluation of the act and shall provide a

192written report on the implementation, impact, and results of the act to the  } [Law Enforcement

193and Criminal Justice and the] {  Health and Human Services legislative interim [committees]

194committee annually before November 1.  }

The motion passed unanimously.

 

MOTION:     Rep. Ipson moved to pass H.B. 62 out favorably, as amended. The motion passed unanimously.

 

H.B. 16           Offender Registry Amendments (Rep. J. Draxler)

 

At the request of the sponsor, H. B. 16 was not heard.

 

MOTION:     Rep. Daw moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
