Chair Ipson called the meeting to order at 4:17 p.m.
MOTION: Rep. Daw moved to approve the minutes of February 19, 2016. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Eliason and rep. Tanner absent for the vote.
H.B. 440 Suicide Prevention and Gun Data Study (Rep. Brian S. King)
Rep. King explained the bill to the committee and provided a handout.

S.B. 162 Crime Victims Council Amendments (Sen. K. Van Tassell) (Rep. J. Draxler)
Sen. Ban Tassell explained the bill to the committee
MOTION: Rep. Ray moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Eliason and Rep. Peterson absent for the vote.
MOTION: Rep. McIff moved to place S.B. 162 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Eliason and Rep. Peterson absent for the vote.
S.B. 192 Study on Claims Exceeding Statutory Limit (Sen. J. Iwamoto) (Rep. V. L. Snow)
Sen. Iwamoto explained the bill to the committee.
MOTION: Rep. Romero moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Daw and Rep. Peterson absent for the vote.
MOTION: Rep. Redd moved to place S.B. 192 on the Consent Calendar. The motion failed with Rep. Ray voting in opposition. Rep. Daw and Rep. Peterson were absent for the vote. Rep. Redd withdrew the motion.
H.B. 434 Law Enforcement Officer Investigation Amendments (Rep. P. Ray)
Rep. Ray explained the bill to the committee with the assistance of Kelly Atkinson, Fraternal Order of Police, and recommended the bill be returned to the Rules Committee for further study.
MOTION: Rep. Ray moved to return H.B. 434 to the Rules Committee for interim study. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Daw and Rep. Peterson absent for the vote.
MOTION: Rep. Redd moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Daw and Rep. Peterson absent for the vote.
