Chair Webb called the meeting to order at 8:09 a.m.
MOTION: Rep. Powell moved to approve the minutes of the February 24, 2016, meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Ipson, Rep. Pitcher, and Rep. Poulson absent for the vote.
H.B. 350 Citizens' Customer Satisfaction Program (Rep. S. Eliason)
Rep. Eliason explained the bill to the committee.
Spoke against the bill: Sal Petilos, Executive Director, Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control
Ken Hansen, Department of Administrative Services
MOTION: Rep. Thurston moved to replace H.B. 350 with 1st Substitute H.B. 350, Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control -- Operations Amendments. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Ipson, Rep. Pitcher, Rep. Poulson, and Rep. Powell absent for the vote.
MOTION: Rep. Pitcher moved to pass 1st Substitute H.B. 350 out favorably. The motion passed with Rep. Ipson voting in opposition. Rep. Poulson and Rep. Powell were absent for the vote.
H.B. 373 Missing and Exploited Children's Day (Rep. S. Handy)
Rep. Handy explained the bill to the committee.
Spoke for the bill: Patricia Reed, Special Agent, Utah Attorney General's Office
MOTION: Rep. Ipson moved to pass H.B. 373 out favorably. The motion passed with Rep. Thurston voting in opposition. Rep. Powell was absent for the vote.
MOTION: Rep. Ipson moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Powell absent for the vote.
