Chair McCay called the meeting to order at 8:12 a.m.
At the invitation of Chair McCay, an overhead presentation was made by Jonathan Ball, Director, Office of the Legislative Fiscal Analyst, and two handouts, "URS State Unfunded Liability (UAAL) & Potential New Unfunded Liability" and "URS Impact in House District", were distributed to the committee.

Rep. Cunningham explained H.B. 47, H.B. 117, H.B. 86, and H.B. 50 to the committee with the assistance of Dave Harden, financial advisor; Paul Cunningham, Chief of Staff, South Jordan City; Patti Harrington, Associate Executive Director, Utah School Boards Association; and Mark Johnson, Chief Administrative Officer, Ogden City. Dan Anderson, Executive Director, Utah Retirement Systems, answered questions from the committee.
