Chair Anderson called the meeting to order at 4:21 p.m.

 

MOTION:       Rep. King moved to approve the minutes of the February 12, 2016, meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Barlow, Rep. Fawson, and Rep. Anderegg absent for the vote.

 

 

H.B. 322           State Building Designation (Rep. S. Duckworth)

 

Rep. Duckworth explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:       Rep. Draxler moved to pass H.B. 322 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Fawson and Rep. Anderegg absent for the vote.

 

Rep. Draxler assumed the chair.

 

H.B. 296           Transportation Funding Revisions (Rep. Johnny Anderson)

 

Rep. Anderson explained the bill to the committee assisted by Linda Hull, Utah Department of Transportation. A handout, "Transportation Funding" was provided to the committee.

MOTION:       Rep. Westwood moved to replace H.B. 296 with 1st Substitute H.B. 296. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Fawson and Rep. Anderegg absent for the vote.

 

MOTION:       Rep. Westwood moved to pass 1st Substitute H.B. 296 out favorably. The motion passed with Rep. Christofferson and Rep. Lifferth voting in opposition. Rep. Fawson and Rep. Anderegg were absent for the vote.

MOTION:       Rep. Westwood moved to pass S.B. 132 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Anderegg absent for the vote.
