7     LONG TITLE
8     General Description:
9          This bill modifies provisions of the Division of Occupational and Professional
10     Licensing Act.
11     Highlighted Provisions:
12          This bill:
13          ▸     provides that an applicant applying for a license from the Division of Occupational
14     and Professional Licensing does not have to pay fees under certain circumstances.
15     Money Appropriated in this Bill:

21          58-1-301.3, Utah Code Annotated 1953

23     Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
24          Section 1. Section 58-1-301.3 is enacted to read:
25          58-1-301.3. Waiver of licensing fees.
26          Ĥ→ [
(1)] ←Ĥ An individual Ĥ→ [applicant] applying ←Ĥ for Ĥ→ initial ←Ĥ licensure
26a     under this title may apply for licensure
27     without paying the fees described in Subsection 58-1-301(1) if the applicant provides evidence

28     to the division Ĥ→ in a form prescribed by the division ←Ĥ that at the time of the application
28a     the applicant is:
29          Ĥ→ [
(a)] (1) ←Ĥ on full-time active service with a branch of the armed forces of the
29a      United States,
30     including an applicant who is on full-time active duty orders with the National Guard or
31     reserve component of the armed forces; or
32          Ĥ→ [
(b)] (2) ←Ĥ receiving public assistance through one of the following programs
32a     administered by
33     the Department of Workforce Services:
34          Ĥ→ [
(i)] (a) ←Ĥ the Family Employment Program described in Section 35A-3-302; or
35          Ĥ→ [
(ii)] (b) ←Ĥ General Assistance described in Section 35A-3-401.
36          Ĥ→ [
(2) The division may make rules in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah
37     Administrative Rulemaking Act, to implement the requirements of this section.
