7     LONG TITLE
8     General Description:
9          This bill amends and enacts provisions related to the name of Route 6.
10     Highlighted Provisions:
11          This bill:
12          ▸     establishes the name of Route 6 as the Grand Army of the Republic Highway;
13          ▸     renames the Mike Dmitrich Highway the Mike Dmitrich Byway; and
14          ▸     makes technical and conforming changes.

25     Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
26          Section 1. Section 72-4-211 is amended to read:
27          72-4-211. Mike Dmitrich Byway.
28          (1) There is established the Mike Dmitrich [Highway] Byway composed of the existing
29     [Highway] Route 6 from Interstate 15 to Interstate 70.
30          (2) In addition to other official designations, the Department of Transportation shall
31     designate the portions of the highway identified in Subsection (1) as the Mike Dmitrich
32     [Highway] Byway on future state highway maps.
33          Section 2. Section 72-4-218 is enacted to read:
34          72-4-218. Grand Army of the Republic Highway.
35          (1) There is established the Grand Army of the Republic Highway composed of the
36     existing Route 6 within the state.
37          (2) In addition to other official designations, the Department of Transportation shall
38     designate the highway identified in Subsection (1) as the Grand Army of the Republic Highway
39     on future state highway maps.
