7     LONG TITLE
8     General Description:
9          This bill enacts provisions of Title 58, Chapter 28, Veterinary Practice Act, related to
10     teeth floating.
11     Highlighted Provisions:
12          This bill:
13          ▸     enacts provisions clarifying the application of Title 58, Chapter 28, Veterinary
14     Practice Act, to the act of teeth floating.

23     Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
24          Section 1. Section 58-28-607 is enacted to read:
25          58-28-607. Construction of chapter as it relates to teeth floating.
26          (1) As used in this section, "teeth floating" means the removal by a non-veterinary
27     equine dental care provider of enamel points and the smoothing, contouring, or leveling of

28     dental arcades and incisors of equine or other farm animals, excluding a canine or feline.
29          (2) Nothing in this chapter may be construed to prohibit teeth floating.
