7 LONG TITLE
8 General Description:
9 This bill enacts and amends provisions related to the name designations of Highway 6.
10 Highlighted Provisions:
11 This bill:
12 ▸ reinstates the name of Highway 6 as the Grand Army of the Republic Highway; and
13 ▸ requires the Department of Transportation to install signs to indicate the designation
14 of the Mike Dmitrich Highway.
15 Money Appropriated in this Bill:
16 This bill appropriates in fiscal year 2020:
17 ▸ to the Department of Transportation -- Operations/Maintenance Management --
18 Maintenance Administration, as a one-time appropriation:
19 • from the General Fund, One-time, $7,000.

28 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
29 Section 1. Section 72-4-211 is amended to read:
30 72-4-211. Mike Dmitrich Highway.
31 (1) There is established the Mike Dmitrich Highway composed of the existing
32 Highway 6 from Interstate 15 to Interstate 70.
33 (2) In addition to other official designations, the Department of Transportation shall
34 designate the portions of the highway identified in Subsection (1) as the Mike Dmitrich
35 Highway on future state highway maps.
36 (3) As soon as practicable, the Department of Transportation shall install appropriate
37 signs along portion of the highway indicating the designation as the Mike Dmitrich Highway as
38 described in Subsection (1).
39 Section 2. Section 72-4-218 is enacted to read:
40 72-4-218. Grand Army of the Republic Highway.
41 (1) There is established the Grand Army of the Republic Highway composed of the
42 existing Highway 6 within the state.
43 (2) In addition to other official designations, the Department of Transportation shall
44 designate the highway identified in Subsection (1) as the Grand Army of the Republic Highway
45 on future state highway maps.
46 Section 3. Appropriation.
47 The following sums of money are appropriated for the fiscal year beginning July 1,
48 2019, and ending June 30, 2020. These are additions to amounts previously appropriated for
49 fiscal year 2020. Under the terms and conditions of Title 63J, Chapter 1, Budgetary Procedures
50 Act, the Legislature appropriates the following sums of money from the funds or accounts
51 indicated for the use and support of government of the state of Utah.

57 The Legislature intends that the use of these funds is limited to the costs of procuring
