9 General Description:
10 This bill withdraws the Legislature's provisional approval for the construction and
11 operation of a Class V commercial nonhazardous solid waste landfill.
12 Highlighted Provisions:
13 This resolution:
14 ▸ refers to 2016 General Session H.J.R. 20 which provided provisional legislative
15 approval for the construction and operation of a Class V commercial nonhazardous
16 solid waste landfill; and
17 ▸ withdraws the Legislature's provisional approval, granted in 2016 General Session
18 H.J.R. 20, to Promontory Point Resources, LLC, to construct and operate a Class V
19 commercial nonhazardous solid waste landfill.

23 Be it resolved by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
24 WHEREAS, in the 2016 General Session, the Legislature of the state of Utah passed
25 H.J.R. 20, "Joint Resolution Approving Class V Landfill," which granted the Legislature's
26 provisional approval to Promontory Point Resources, LLC, to construct and operate a Class V
27 commercial nonhazardous solid waste landfill as described in the proposed plan if Promontory
28 Point Resources, LLC's proposed construction and operation plan was approved by Box Elder
29 County, the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control, and the Governor in
30 accordance with Utah Code Subsection 19-6-108(3):
31 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of the state of Utah
32 withdraws its provisional approval, granted in 2016 General Session H.J.R. 20, to Promontory
33 Point Resources, LLC, to construct and operate a Class V commercial nonhazardous solid
34 waste landfill.
