7     LONG TITLE
8     General Description:
9          This bill exempts a portion of the West Davis Corridor from legislative approval for
10     scenic byway designation.
11     Highlighted Provisions:
12          This bill:
13          ▸     adds the West Davis Corridor as an exemption from legislative approval for scenic
14     byway designation and prohibits segmentation.
15     Money Appropriated in this Bill:

23     Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
24          Section 1. Section 72-4-304 is amended to read:
25          72-4-304. Exceptions to approval and segmentation.
26          [(1) Legacy Parkway, from the junction of I-215 in Davis County northerly to the
27     junction with US 89 and I-15:]

28          [(a) is exempt from the legislative approval requirement in Section 72-4-301.5; and]
29          [(b) may not be segmented.]
30          (1) The following highways are exempt from the legislative approval requirement in
31     Section 72-4-301.5 and may not be segmented:
32          (a) Legacy Parkway, from the junction of I-215 in Davis County northerly to the
33     junction with US 89 and I-15; and
34          (b) the West Davis Corridor, from the southern terminus at the system interchange near
35     Glovers Lane northerly to the intersection of 1800 North in West Point City.
36          (2) A highway nominated for National Scenic Byway or All-American Road
37     designation [prior to] before January 1, 2009 is exempt from the legislative approval
38     requirement in Section 72-4-301.5.
