9     Committee Note:
10          The Occupational and Professional Licensure Review Committee recommended this
11     bill.
12     General Description:
13          This bill modifies provisions of the Legislative Oversight and Sunset Act.
14     Highlighted Provisions:
15          This bill:
16          ▸     extends the sunset date of statutory provisions related to the reporting requirements
17     of certain adverse anesthesia events; and
18          ▸     extends the sunset date of statutory provisions related to what constitutes
19     unprofessional conduct when administering anesthesia in an outpatient setting.

30     Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
31          Section 1. Section 63I-1-226 is amended to read:
32          63I-1-226. Repeal dates, Title 26.
33          (1) Section 26-1-40 is repealed July 1, [2019] 2022.
34          (2) Title 26, Chapter 9f, Utah Digital Health Service Commission Act, is repealed July
35     1, 2025.
36          (3) Section 26-10-11 is repealed July 1, 2020.
37          (4) Subsection 26-18-417(3) is repealed July 1, 2020.
38          (5) Title 26, Chapter 33a, Utah Health Data Authority Act, is repealed July 1, 2024.
39          (6) Title 26, Chapter 36b, Inpatient Hospital Assessment Act, is repealed July 1, 2024.
40          (7) Title 26, Chapter 36c, Medicaid Expansion Hospital Assessment Act, is repealed
41     July 1, 2024.
42          (8) Title 26, Chapter 36d, Hospital Provider Assessment Act, is repealed July 1, 2019.
43          (9) Title 26, Chapter 56, Hemp Extract Registration Act, is repealed January 1, 2019.
44          (10) Title 26, Chapter 63, Nurse Home Visiting Pay-for-Success Program, is repealed
45     July 1, 2026.
46          Section 2. Section 63I-1-258 is amended to read:
47          63I-1-258. Repeal dates, Title 58.
48          (1) Title 58, Chapter 13, Health Care Providers Immunity from Liability Act, is
49     repealed July 1, 2026.
50          (2) Title 58, Chapter 15, Health Facility Administrator Act, is repealed July 1, 2025.
51          (3) Title 58, Chapter 20b, Environmental Health Scientist Act, is repealed July 1, 2028.
52          (4) Section 58-37-4.3 is repealed January 1, 2020.
53          (5) Subsection 58-37-6(7)(f)(iii) is repealed July 1, 2022, and the Office of Legislative
54     Research and General Counsel is authorized to renumber the remaining subsections
55     accordingly.
56          (6) Title 58, Chapter 40, Recreational Therapy Practice Act, is repealed July 1, 2023.
57          (7) Title 58, Chapter 41, Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Licensing Act, is
58     repealed July 1, 2019.

59          (8) Title 58, Chapter 42a, Occupational Therapy Practice Act, is repealed July 1, 2025.
60          (9) Title 58, Chapter 46a, Hearing Instrument Specialist Licensing Act, is repealed July
61     1, 2023.
62          (10) Title 58, Chapter 47b, Massage Therapy Practice Act, is repealed July 1, 2024.
63          (11) Title 58, Chapter 61, Part 7, Behavior Analyst Licensing Act, is repealed July 1,
64     2026.
65          (12) Title 58, Chapter 72, Acupuncture Licensing Act, is repealed July 1, 2027.
66          (13) Title 58, Chapter 86, State Certification of Commercial Interior Designers Act, is
67     repealed July 1, 2021.
68          (14) The following sections are repealed on July 1, [2019] 2022:
69          (a) Section 58-5a-502;
70          (b) Section 58-31b-502.5;
71          (c) Section 58-67-502.5;
72          (d) Section 58-68-502.5; and
73          (e) Section 58-69-502.5.
