9     General Description:
10          This bill modifies language relating to the effective date of legislation.
11     Highlighted Provisions:
12          This bill:
13          ▸     modifies effective date language from H.B. 31, Water Supply and Surplus Water
14     Amendments, passed during the 2019 General Session, to refer to a proposed
15     constitutional amendment that replaces the one referred to in H.B. 31.

24     Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
25          Section 1. Uncodified Section 5, Laws of Utah 2019, Chapter 99, is amended to
26     read:
27          This bill takes effect on January 1, 2021, if the amendment to the Utah Constitution
28     proposed by H.J.R. [1] 3, Proposal to Amend Utah Constitution - [Municipal] Water
29     Resources[, 2019] of Municipalities, 2020 General Session, passes the Legislature and is
30     approved by a majority of those voting on it at the next regular general election.
