9 General Description:
10 This bill creates a specific statute of limitations for unlawful sexual activity with a
11 minor.
12 Highlighted Provisions:
13 This bill:
14 ▸ extends the statute of limitations for felony violations of unlawful sexual activity
15 with a minor and unlawful sexual conduct with a 16- or 17-year-old to 10 years after
16 the victim reaches 18 years of age.

25 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
26 Section 1. Section 76-1-301.1 is enacted to read:
27 76-1-301.1. Statute of limitations for unlawful sexual activity with a minor.
28 The statute of limitations for a felony violation of Section 76-5-401 or 76-5-401.2 is 10
29 years from the time the victim reaches the age of 18.
