9 General Description:
10 This bill enacts provisions prohibiting certain restrictions of firearms related to real
11 estate.
12 Highlighted Provisions:
13 This bill:
14 ▸ renames Title 57, Chapter 24, Display of Flag, to Residential Property Management
15 Authority Restrictions; and
16 ▸ prohibits a residential property management authority from restricting a resident's
17 lawful carry or possession of a firearm for personal defense in certain areas.

26 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
27 Section 1. Section 57-24-103 is enacted to read:

30 57-24-103. Restriction on prohibiting certain lawful carry and possession of
31 firearms.
32 (1) A residential property management authority may not restrict a resident's lawful
33 carry or possession of a firearm for personal defense within an area over which the resident has
34 exclusive control.
35 (2) This section applies to a contract or agreement entered into on or after May 12,
36 2020.
