7     LONG TITLE
8     General Description:
9          This bill establishes the beginning date for annual general sessions of the Legislature.
10     Highlighted Provisions:
11          This bill:
12          ▸     designates the first Tuesday after the third Monday in January as the beginning of
13     the annual general session of the Legislature; and
14          ▸     makes technical changes.

27     Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
28          Section 1. Section 36-3-201 is enacted to read:

32          36-3-201. Beginning date of annual general session.
33          The annual general session of the Legislature shall begin the first Tuesday after the
34     third Monday in January.
35          Section 2. Section 36-3-301, which is renumbered from Section 36-10-1 is renumbered
36     and amended to read:

38          [36-10-1].      36-3-301. Enacting clause.
39          (1) The enacting clause of every law passed by the Legislature shall be: "Be it enacted
40     by the Legislature of the state of Utah."
41          (2) The enacting clause of every law passed by the vote of the people as provided in
42     Article VI, Section 1, of the Constitution of Utah shall be: "Be it enacted by the People of the
43     state of Utah."
44          Section 3. Section 36-3-306, which is renumbered from Section 36-3-1 is renumbered
45     and amended to read:
46          [36-3-1].      36-3-306. Enrolling of bills.
47          All bills ordered enrolled by the Legislature shall be delivered to the Office of
48     Legislative Research and General Counsel, who shall without delay enroll the bills and return
49     them to the secretary of the Senate or chief clerk of the House of Representatives.
