8 General Description:
9 This bill modifies the deadline for the governor to submit an audited financial
10 statement.

23 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
24 Section 1. Section 63J-1-201.5 is amended to read:
25 63J-1-201.5. Financial statement to be submitted annually.
26 The governor shall submit an audited financial statement no later than December [
27 of each year that shows:
28 (1) the revenues and expenditures for the last fiscal year;
29 (2) payment and discharge of the principal and interest of the indebtedness of the state;
30 (3) the current assets, liabilities, and reserves, surplus or deficit, and the debts and
31 funds of the state;
32 (4) an estimate of the state's financial condition as of the beginning and the end of the
33 period covered by the budget; and
34 (5) a complete analysis of lease with an option to purchase arrangements entered into
35 by state agencies.
36 Section 2. Effective date.
37 If approved by two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, this bill takes effect
38 upon approval by the governor, or the day following the constitutional time limit of Utah
39 Constitution, Article VII, Section 8, without the governor's signature, or in the case of a veto,
40 the date of veto override.
