8 General Description:
9 This bill amends provisions related to local government curfews.
10 Highlighted Provisions:
11 This bill:
12 ▸ defines terms; and
13 ▸ prohibits a municipality or county from enacting or enforcing an ordinance that
14 imposes a curfew on minors during certain hours of the day.

24 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
25 Section 1. Section 10-8-84.6 is enacted to read:
26 10-8-84.6. Prohibition on ordinances imposing curfews on minors.
27 (1) For purposes of this section, "minor" means an individual under 18 years old.
28 (2) A municipality may not enact or enforce an ordinance that imposes a curfew on
29 minors between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
30 Section 2. Section 17-50-339 is enacted to read:
31 17-50-339. Prohibition on ordinances imposing curfews on minors.
32 (1) For purposes of this section, "minor" means an individual under 18 years old.
33 (2) A county may not enact or enforce an ordinance that imposes a curfew on minors
34 between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
