8     LONG TITLE
9     General Description:
10          This bill modifies provisions related to the Rural Coworking and Innovation Center
11     Grant Program within the Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity.
12     Highlighted Provisions:
13          This bill:
14     Ŝ→      ▸ allows nonprofit organizations to receive grants under the Rural Coworking and
14a     Innovation Center Grant Program; and ←Ŝ     
14b          ▸     removes private companies from the list of entities that may receive a grant under
15     the Rural Coworking and Innovation Center Grant Program.

24     Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
25          Section 1. Section 63N-4-502 is amended to read:
26          63N-4-502. Definitions.
27          As used in this part:

28          (1) "Advisory committee" means the Rural Online Working Hubs Grant Advisory
29     Committee created in Section 63N-4-505.
30          (2) "Coworking and innovation center" means a facility designed to provide individuals
31     with the infrastructure and equipment to participate in the online workforce.
32          (3) "Entity" means a county, city, Ŝ→ nonprofit organization, ←Ŝ or institution of higher
32a     education[, or private
33     company].
34          (4) "Grant" means a grant awarded as part of the Rural Coworking and Innovation
35     Center Grant Program created in Section 63N-4-503.
36          (5) "Grant program" means the Rural Coworking and Innovation Center Grant Program
37     created in Section 63N-4-503.
38          (6) "Rural area" means any area in any county in the state except Salt Lake, Utah,
39     Davis, Weber, Washington, Cache, Tooele, and Summit counties.
