7     LONG TITLE
8     General Description:
9          This bill repeals certain provisions related to collection agencies.
10     Highlighted Provisions:
11          This bill:
12          ▸     repeals provisions related to collection agencies that:
13               •     require collection agencies to register with the Division of Corporations and
14     Commercial Code;
15               •     govern certain bond requirements for collection agencies;
16               •     require certain records related to registrations and bonds;
17               •     relate to violations and penalties of title provisions;
18               •     govern assignments of debts involving collection agencies; and
19               •     require certain registration forms and registration fees for collection agencies.

36     Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:

38          This bill repeals:
39          Section 12-1-1, Registration and bond required.
40          Section 12-1-2, Amount of bond -- Conditions -- Right of action.
41          Section 12-1-3, Term of bond -- Limitation of action.
42          Section 12-1-5, Record of registrations and bonds -- Right of inspection.
43          Section 12-1-6, Violation of title -- Penalty.
44          Section 12-1-7, Exceptions.
45          Section 12-1-8, Designating and limiting activities as to assignments.
46          Section 12-1-9, Information void if no bond filed by collection agency.
47          Section 12-1-10, Applications -- Fees.
