9 This bill amends provisions related to the Utah Seismic Safety Commission.

30 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
31 Section 1. Section 63I-1-253 (Superseded 07/01/24) is amended to read:
32 63I-1-253 (Superseded 07/01/24). Repeal dates: Titles 53 through 53G.
33 (1) Section 53-2a-105, which creates the Emergency Management Administration
34 Council, is repealed July 1, 2027.
35 (2) Sections 53-2a-1103 and 53-2a-1104, which create the Search and Rescue Advisory
36 Board, are repealed July 1, 2027.
37 (3) Section 53-5-703, which creates the Concealed Firearm Review Board, is repealed
38 July 1, 2024.

231 (b) Section 63M-7-305, the language that states "council" is replaced with
232 "commission";
233 (c) Subsection 63M-7-305(1)(a) is repealed and replaced with:
234 "(1) "Commission" means the Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice."; and
235 (d) Subsection 63M-7-305(2) is repealed and replaced with:
236 "(2) The commission shall:
237 (a) provide ongoing oversight of the implementation, functions, and evaluation of the
238 Drug-Related Offenses Reform Act; and
239 (b) coordinate the implementation of Section 77-18-104 and related provisions in
240 Subsections 77-18-103(2)(c) and (d).".
241 (22) The Crime Victim Reparations and Assistance Board, created in Section

262 (b) Subsections 63N-2-511(3)(a) and (5), the language that states "tourism board" is
263 repealed and replaced with "Utah Office of Tourism";
264 (c) Subsection 63N-7-101(1), which defines "board," is repealed;
265 (d) Subsection 63N-7-102(3)(c), which requires the Utah Office of Tourism to receive
266 approval from the Board of Tourism Development, is repealed; and
267 (e) Title 63N, Chapter 7, Part 2, Board of Tourism Development, is repealed.
268 (32) Subsection 63N-8-103(3)(c), which allows the Governor's Office of Economic
269 Opportunity to issue an amount of tax credit certificates only for rural productions, is repealed
270 on July 1, 2024.
271 Section 5. Effective date.
272 (1) Except as provided in Subsection (2), this bill takes effect on May 1, 2024.
273 (2) (a) The actions affecting Section 63I-1-253 (Eff 07/01/24) (Cont Sup 01/01/25)
274 take effect on July 1, 2024.
275 (b) The actions affecting Section 63I-1-253 (Contingently Effective 01/01/25)
276 contingently take effect on January 1, 2025.
