State Impact:
Provisions of this bill requires licensure of persons installing, inspecting, maintaining, or conducting percolation or soil tests for underground wastewater disposal
systems. The bill also establishes fees for this license certification and installation of underground wastewater systems. A restricted General Fund - Underground
Wastewater Disposal Restricted Account is created as well. It is estimated that fees of $75,000 will be deposited to the account during FY 2002 and an expenditure of
$75,000 will be required to develop and conduct certification courses for training and licensure.
