HB0073 - Mental Health Therapist Licensing Act Amendments

State Impact:
It is estimated that this bill will increase revenue to the Commerce Service Fund by approximately $9,400 per year from licensing fees. It will require an appropriation of $90,400 from the Commerce Service Fund to the Department of Commerce to implement the provisions of the bill. Included in this amount is $28,400 that may be paid for legal services by the Department to the Attorney General's Office. Appropriations from the Commerce Service Fund affect the amount available for transfer to the General Fund. The General Fund reduction of $81,000 is the net difference between the amount appropriated and the revenue generated by the bill.

Individual and Business Impact:
Affected individuals will be required to pay a $75 licensing fee every other year.
