HB0095 - Regulations of Pawn Shops

State Impact:
No significant fiscal impact. Any potential revenue generated by the provisions of this bill is estimated to be minimal.
Individual and Business Impact:
There may be a fiscal impact to some pawn shops which generate 50 or more transactions per month. Shops not in compliance could incur the expense of setting up an electronic register that is compatible with their local law enforcement agency's computer system. Shops that do not have or choose not to upgrade their computer system would be required to pay a $1 per report fee each month. There may be some additional expense to maintain records for the required time.
