Fiscal Note

HB0198 - Repeal of Public Utilities Amendments

State Impact:
No fiscal impact change from FY 2001. Since FY 2002 was not the budgeted year at the time H.B. 320 was passed, the financial changes have yet to be appropriated. The provisions of this bill will continue the current budgets for the Department of Commerce, the Committee of Consumer Services and the Public Service Commission. The bill will do away with the proposed transfer of funds between the Department of Commerce and the Public Service Commission necessitated by the restructuring of programs required by H.B. 320.
Individual and Business Impact:
The provisions of this bill will maintain the current processes for utility regulatory review.
