This bill has no fiscal impact on State or local government.
Individual and Business Impact:
Some children in divorced family circumstances may be able to maintain health insurance with a reduced risk of loss of coverage. The provisions of the bill could increase administrative expenses for employers and insurers of employees who are required by divorce decree to provide insurance. Though the administrative expenses are minimal, the additional costs associated with this bill may be spread to other consumers through such things as premium or benefit adjustments.
