HB0256 - School Boards Compensation

State Impact:
There would need to be $45,000 appropriated from the Uniform School Fund to the State Board of Education to cover the cost of board member salary increases. On the local level, the estimated cost of board member salary increases estimated at $606,000. The local school district would be required to provide all of this funding.

Individual and Business Impact:
State school board members would receive an increase of $3,000 annually.
