State Impact:
This bill appropriates to the State Board of Regents $10,550,000 in the following manner: $5,000,000 from income tax revenues to fund the faculty incentive program,
$550,000 from income tax revenues for new engineering and computer science programs, a one time appropriation of $4,200,000 from income tax revenues to fund equipment
and new programs, and a one time appropriation of $800,000 one time from income tax revenues to begin a student loan forgiveness program as described in the bill. The
bill appropriates $2,400,000 ongoing, and a $16,600,000 one time supplemental appropriation from the Uniform School Fund to fund the Public Education Job Enhancement
Program as outlined in the bill.
