Fiscal Note

SB0153 - Kinship Placement for Foster Children

State Impact:
Additional shelter hearings expected as a result of this legislation will require additional staff in both the the Courts and the Attorney General's Office. The Courts will need an appropriation of $33,000 for a total of 0.35 additional FTEs. The Attorney General's office will need an appropriation of $24,000, including $1,900 in one-time capital outlay for 0.25 FTE attorney. The additional hearings and other provisions of this legislation should not significantly impact the budget of the Division of Child and Family Services.
