State Impact:
It is estimated that initially the impact of this bill could lessen the estimated costs for workers' compensation to cover public safety workers during the Olympics. The financial impact may be realized by both State and local governments.
Individual and Business Impact:
This bill assures workers' compensation insurance coverage and the corresponding benefits for participating public safety workers during the period covered by this legislation. This extends the offer of no-fault workers' compensation insurance coverage to employers and employees.
