Chair Reid called the meeting to order at 8:26 am.

Approval of Minutes

MOTION:     Sen. Osmond moved to approve the minutes of the February 19, 2013 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Jones and Sen. Urquhart absent for the vote.

1st Substitute H.B. 278         Public School Seismic Studies (Rep. G. Froerer)

Rep. Froerer introduced and explained the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Stephenson moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Jones and Sen. Urquhart absent for the vote.

S.B. 209          Grants for Personal Mobile Learning Devices (Sen. A. Osmond)

Sen. Osmond introduced and explained the bill.

Spoke for the bill:       Dr. Martell Menlove, State Superintendent of Public Instruction

MOTION:     Sen. Stevenson moved to hold the bill. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Sen. Jones moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously with Sen.    Stevenson absent for the vote.

Chair Reid adjourned the meeting at 8:57 am.
