Chair Buttars called the meeting to order at 2:15 p.m.

MOTION: Sen. Peterson moved to approve the minutes of the November 14, 2001 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Wallace absent for the vote.
H.B.62 Legislative Area of State Capitol (M. Stephens)
Speaker Stephens introduced H.B. 62 and explained it to the committee.
MOTION: Sen Peterson moved to approve H.B. 62 and send it to the Rules Committee with the recommendation that it go directly to the board. The motion passed unanimously.
H.B. 199 Interim Committee Membership (M. Stephens)
Speaker Stephens introduced H.B. 199 and explained it to the committee.
MOTION: Rep. Bush moved to approve H.B. 199 and send it to the Rules Committee, recommending that it be placed on the calendar. The motion passed unanimously.
H.J.R.1 Resolution Reappointing Legislative Auditor General (M. Stephens)
Speaker Stephens introduced H.J.R.1 and explained it to the committee.
MOTION: Rep. Hansen moved to approve H.J.R.1 and have it considered for floor action. The motion passed unanimously.
H.B. 70 Political Fundraising Restrictions on Governor (N. Hansen)
Rep. Hansen introduced H.B. 70 and explained it to the committee.
MOTION: Sen. Peterson moved to recommend H.B. 70 favorably for further action. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION: Rep. Wallace moved to recommend H.J.R.2 favorably and recommend it for further action. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Hansen absent for the vote.
