HB0232 - Elementary School Math Initiative
State Impact:
Enactment of the bill would appropriate $18,000,000 ongoing from the Education Fund to the State Board of Education for disbursement to local districts and charter schools who choose to participate in the Elementary School Math Initiative. An additional ongoing appropriation of $40,000 from the Education Fund will be needed to cover the costs of program evaluation by a third party over five years as outlined in the bill.
