SB0118 - Education Transportation Amendments
State Impact:
Enactment of this bill requires the Legislature to fund 85 percent of approved to and from pupil transportation costs in the school districts. The ongoing base budget for pupil transportation, as found in House Bill 1 (2008 General Session) totals $72.6 million in Uniform School Fund. Estimates indicate that an additional $9.1 million in ongoing Uniform School Fund may be required to meet the 85 percent funding threshold outlined in the bill.
