State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill likely will not materially impact the state budget.

Local Governments (UCA 36-12-13(2)(c)):
To be an approved training provider to issue food handler training certificates, Utah’s local health departments collectively would need to pay a one-time accreditation fee of about $14,000 and an annual fee of $6,000. Local health departments would also incur the costs of complying with the accreditation standards. Local health departments could also charge up to $10 per application for issuing food permits.

Direct Expenditures by Utah Residents and Businesses (UCA 36-12-13(2)(d)):
Businesses wanting to issue food handler training certificates would need to pay a one-time accreditation fee of about $14,000 and an annual fee of $2,500 to $6,000 based on food handler training certificates revenues. Business would also incur the costs of complying with the accreditation standards. Individuals seeking a food handler permit may pay up to $10 more.
