Fiscal Note - State of Utah - 2012 General Session

SB0002 - Public Education Budget Amendments

State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill appropriates $71,285,700 ongoing and ($37,000,000) one-time from the Education Fund for a net amount of $34,285,700. Enactment of this bill also appropriates $45,000,000 one-time from the Uniform School Fund, $23,569,400 in Federal Funds, and $10,579,500 from other sources listed in the bill. The value of the Weighted Pupil Unit is increased $32, from $2,816 to $2,848 for most programs. The WPU value for the Special Education Add-on and the Career & Technical Education Add-on programs is increased $30, from $2,577 to $2,607. Appropriations in the bill may increase or decrease the total number of weighted pupil units in certain programs as outlined in the bill.
