SB0010 - College and Career Readiness Assessment

State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill appropriates $2,200,000 ongoing from the Education Fund to the State Board of Education to implement college and career readiness assessments. The Utah State Office of Education currently has $1,500,000 in ongoing funding to support the Utah Basic Skills Compentency Test (UBSCT). Provisions outlined in this bill eliminate the UBSCT, generating a cost savings. The net cost of enacting testing requirements of this bill is estimated at $700,000.
