Fiscal Note - State of Utah - 2012 General Session
SB0052 - Workers' Compensation Act Amendments
State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill likely will not materially impact the state budget.
Local Governments (UCA 36-12-13(2)(c)):
Enactment of this bill likely will not result in direct, measurable costs for local governments.
Direct Expenditures by Utah Residents and Businesses (UCA 36-12-13(2)(d)):
Enactment of this bill increases insurance premiums for motor vehicle owners/operators who do not currently have an Occupational Accident Related Insurance policy of at least $1,000,000; this bill will impact an estimated 350 individuals in the State. At the $1,000,000 minimum policy amount, Occupational Accident Related Insurance is less costly than Workers' Compensation premiums a motor carrier would pay for these same motor vehicle owners/operators.
