Agency: University of Utah Line Item: Poison Control Center Function The Utah Poison Control Center (UPCC) is a 24-hour resource for poison information, clinical toxicology consultation and poison prevention education. Statute provides dedicated credits for the cost of establishing, installing and maintaining the Poison Control Center from emergency service telephone charges. Statutory Authority The following statute applies to the Poison Control Center in addition to the laws previously mentioned in Chapter II: - UCA 69-2-5 - Provides funding for the Poison Control Center through emergency telephone charges.
