Agency: University of Utah Line Item: Poison Control Center Function The Utah Poison Control Center (UPCC) is a 24-hour resource for poison information, clinical toxicology consultation, and poison prevention education. Statute provides that dedicated credits,collected from an emergency services telecommunications charge, fund the cost of the Poison Control Center.
Statutory Authority The following statute applies to the Poison Control Center in addition to the laws previously mentioned: - UCA 69-2-5.5 Provides funding for the Poison Control Center through an emergency services telecommunications charge.
