Function

The Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health's mission is to protect workers and the environment through interdisciplinary education, research and service.

The Center is established as a resource to improve health and safety in the workplace, and by doing so, help contribute to the State's economy. The Center provides education, ressearch, and consultations in ergonomics and safety, hazardous substance academic training, industrial hygiene, occupational and environmental medicine, and occupational injury prevention research training.

Statutory Authority

The following laws apply to the Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health, in addition to those mentioned previously:

  • UCA53B-17-802 establishes the Center, an advisory board, and reporting requirements.
